Ration distribution in Pandemic

The flip side of the lockdown cannot be ignored, It is no surprise that it has made every single human experience mixed emotions. Be it an adult or a child -everyone has experienced changes in their lifestyle and that to deep ones. No wonder, the underprivileged part of the population got hit by this economic depression very harshly. Families went starving, they had no idea how to arrange for daily requirements as they had no incoming salary, the health of the kids was in danger because there was a depletion of food. The situation worsened with each passing day.
However, with the help of the superb idea initiated by the Shakti family, which was to distribute dry ration packets the situation got better with time.
However, the hard part was to stay strong and not lose their hope during such a ruthless time. Shakti stood as a family and each one of Shakti- staff, children and their families stood by each other and help each other to not let this Pandemic affect their emotional wellbeing. Their mentors, Trustees, volunteers, teachers, support staff made themselves available. All of them were involved with the beneficiaries throughout to overcome crises situations aroused due to corona Virus.
The Shakti family is also immensely grateful to all the supporters and volunteers who showed their faith in them and help the children survive during a tough time. The dry ration was distributed to approximately 150 families, Six times during the first quarter (April- June’20). Thus, we got to know that initially, everyone was afraid of the effects this pandemic came along with however all of them tackled it gracefully.
