World Environment Day 2022

Shakti girls at Gurgaon were visited by members of the Inner Wheel Club, Sushant Vatika on account of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2022. They were given a brief talk about the importance of keeping the Earth clean and using durable and environment-friendly products.

The generic toothbrushes that we use commonly are made from nylon and plastic; every year billions of brushes are thrown away, contributing to the plastic piles at landfills and waterways. Keeping this in mind, the girls were gifted wooden biodegradable toothbrushes, perhaps their first small step at making the Earth green again!

It is important to grow in a manner that simultaneously waters and grows your surroundings. In a time and age like this when the planet is in irreversible trouble due to our own actions, baby steps toward making a difference results in an ocean of positive change. The Shakti girls eagerly participated and will surely make responsible decisions in the future!
